An Answered Prayer

Could it be that God is using a 100 year old piano and a very rusty song writer for His glory?

After writing one and only 21 years ago could He open that door of songwriting in my life that I've prayed for well over a decade?!

Is He really giving in me a fresh desire to worship Him in a way I never have before and equipping me to do so?

Yes!  He can and He is certainly is!!!

May I have a willing and obedient heart, God, for what you plan for me.

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your ways to the Lord and wait patiently for Him."
Psalm 37:4& 5

God works in mysterious ways. If He is giving you that desire, He will equip you to do it. Can't wait to hear your songs.

Those old desires never really go away, do they, even if life's sandstorms covers them up. The gentle wind of Holy Spirit's breath blows the sand away and they surface once again.

Your story hits a chord for me as He's doing something similar in my own life. The piano sat dormant for years but this past June I got it tuned as I wanted to re-learn to play a piece that my mom used to love me playing (for her 80th birthday). It awakened the old desire to play beautifully, and I've been practicing and playing and composing little pieces ever since.

I'm so glad I found your blog post today. My first time visit -- a lovely one.

Wishing you glimpses of heaven in unexpected places.
