Tybee Island is a very small, pedestrian friendly island. (We decided to rent bikes for our stay and travel around that way!) It is not a tourist-y beach like many of the other Florida ones we've stayed at.
It is primarily made of of residences (cottages and beach houses) with a small percentage of commercial property.
I would have to say that one of our favorite things about our whole vacation was our cute, little cottage--The Seabiscuit!!!
I LOVE the colors of the cottage. Pink with a green screened in porch and a yellow door.
The white picket fence completes the storybook appeal.
My husband found this adorable cottage that boasted coziness, perfect for a romantic couple's get-away!
Although is less than 500 sq. ft. in size, it's big on charm.
Jane Coslick is a renown designer who has taken older places on Tybee Island and completely renovated them from the inside out. She is known for her shabby chic decor that is simply perfect for a place close to the beach. Her work is exquisite.
Jane did a major overhaul on the Seabisuit a few years ago.
So excited, I'm about to enter our cottage--our home away from home--for the very first time!
This porch was my favorite room!
Love the hanging lanterns. They would provide a glow to come home to after dinner.
We enjoyed these adirondack chairs every morning with coffee!
This floor is made of old Savannah brick that had been salvaged.
Every front porch needs a rocking chair, I mean, we were in the deep South!

The whole place was light and bright.
The tall beadboard ceilings were painted a pale celery green. What a great way to bring them down a bit onto the soft, white walls.

I love all the details, even the plates were so pretty!
The green ones have dragonflies on them. Those were the ones we usually used for breakfast.

Yes, I'll admit that I cried a little when we had to say goodbye. :(
I won't post that picture.
